So what is this 21 Day Fix?

For this post, I decided to tap into one of the most talked about fitness programs at the moment, 21 Day FixAutumn Calabrese, a celebrity fitness trainer and national-level bikini competitor can now add creator of one of the most talked about fitness programs in the market to her resume now. Calabrese is a strong support of portion control and persistent exercise, the two main reasons her program is so successful. Not too long ago, Calabrese sat down and talked with CBS – read the whole interview here.

Like the company I am creating, Calabrese focuses in on simplicity – simple fitness and simple nutrition, as mentioned in her interview.  Calabrese developed specifically designed color-coded containers to use for this program, meaning there is no constant measuring. While the workouts may be simple, the unique part of this program is that they are all different. Creating different work outs for 21 days, keeps you interested and prevents your body from plateauing due to repetitive movements.

Similar to my company, this program is made for busy individuals since not a lot of planning needs to be put forth. You simply fill the containers and go as Calabrese points out in her interview.
Today, people are always busy. Whether you’re like me, trying to manage school, a full-time job, and a social life, or a mom of three kids, everyone is going nonstop. A workout that is fast and effective is just what the fitness world needs and Calabrese noticed that. She saw what the people needed and gave them exactly what they wanted. Calabrese states, “When you combine simple fitness with simple nutrition, you have a recipe for success.” As far as I know, 21 Day Fix has been on backorder for over 6 weeks!

What I loved most about reading through this article was that Calabrese’s story is relatable. She has had a child and worked her butt off to shed the weight post-pregnancy. She makes things simple and easy to understand. She ends the interview reminding us that success doesn’t happen overnight and that if you have a long-term goal in mind and if you want it bad enough, you will work your way to that goal and the result will come.
